Par un jeu de hasards, le réalisateur se trouve en possession d'un film super 8 resté inachevé dans une caméra offerte par son amie au retour d'un voyage à Belfast. Le film date d'une douzaine d'années et montre une famille inconnue s'amusant au bord d'une plage. Il décide de se rendre en Irlande du Nord pour retrouver ces gens et leur rendre le film. Il arrive à Belfast le lendemain des accords du 13 octobre 1994 qui marquent la fin de 25 ans de guerre civile et commence son enquête dans la ville ce premier week-end de paix.

By a game of chance, the director finds himself in possession of a Super 8 film that remained unfinished in a camera offered by his friend after returning from a trip to Belfast. The film dates back a dozen years and shows an unknown family having fun at the edge of a beach. He decides to go to Northern Ireland to find these people and return the film to them. He arrives in Belfast the day after the agreements of October 13, 1994 which mark the end of 25 years of civil war and begins his investigation in the city this first weekend of peace.
